TightLink Corporation developed and delivered a comprehensive customer care solution via a web-based ASP business model. Mr. Rector was in charge of all operational aspects of the company including engineering, quality assurance, computer and network infrastructure, and customer support.

Mr. Rector had overall responsibility for TIBCO’s global client services operation. He grew the organization from a single person to a team of 250+ technicians, engineers, and support personnel located in 18 offices worldwide. The group was organized into regional profit centers and was responsible for all customer service issues including system design and implementation, support, training, consulting services, account management and sales.

Served as product manger for the development of networking products including Ethernet and X.25 interfaces. Worked closely with Intel Corporation in the development of the first VLSI Ethernet chip set. Responsibilities included the specification, design and development of the hardware, firmware and software drivers of these products.
