I was the HSE Manager for the Biox Corproation, a Canadian BioDiesel producing company based in Hamilton Ontario. Responsible for all aspects of health, safety and environmental management for corporate operations in Canada and the proposed facility in the U.S.

Health, Safety and Security Manager for OHL Construction Canada and FCC Construction Canada Ltd. Partnership. Responsible for the development and implementation of a comprehensive Health, Safety and Security program that meets the exacting standards of the Toronto Transit Commission and the Project Management for the Toronto, York, Spadina Subway Expansion Project. This company is a joint venture between two tunnelling contractors from Spain which had no experience working in Canada. I was responsible for all aspects of regulatory compliance, reporting to the client (TTC) coordinating with York University staff and faculty as over half of the project was within their property lines, addressing the safety concerns that could affect 54,000 students, 8,000 staff and a traffic plan that included 1700 buses per day.

Responsible for all aspects of health and safety including but not limited to policy and procedure development, implementation of corporate H&S program and auditing system. Working closely with retail client representatives to meet or exceed all regulatory and design health and safety specifications. Traugott is a province wide general contractor involved in projects that range from retail renovation to infrastructure projects with an average annual business volume in excess of $ 100 million.

Duties include performing hazard assessments, developing safe work procedures and worker training and skills development including the development of a specialized Hoisting and Rigging training program for workers in Alberta. EllisDon is a unionized, large scale general contractor with a very diversified portfolio of high profile infrastructure projects around the world.

Nexen Long Lake RefineryResponsible for supervising a large and diverse industrial maintenance crew consisting of Pipefitters Labourers and Millwrights during the start up and commissioning of a new Oilsands Refinery. Prime responsibilities consisted of coordinating and supervising all aspects of Health, Safety and Environmental protection, performing site safety performance audits and reports, Job hazard analysis, work permits and Hazard Assessments as well as developing and delivering on-site hazard specific and corporate compliance training programs.
