- Worked with the City of San Diego and CCDC to install downtown curb ‘pop-outs’ with the redesign of the 5th and Market intersection.- Became well versed in all aspects of designing a complete plan package of Grading and Public Improvement Plans for the City of San Diego. This included everything from initial utility research, site investigations, traffic control plans, Water Quality Technical Reports, SWPPP, drainage studies, sewer studies, agency coordination, client design meetings, grading plans, improvement plans, sewer relocation plans, agency revisions, engineering estimating, and any other items associated with a complete design.- Ability to work on a team project as well as individual projects.- Required minimal direction and looked at all the alternatives to understand that the client’s satisfaction is the most important aspect of the profession.- Designed projects from initial discretionary phase to City of San Diego Council review to construction documents, and then through construction.- Provided Construction Administration experience with designed plans in the ‘real’ world and assisted in mitigating conflicts with meetings, field investigation, construction changes and As-Built drawings.

- Part of a three intern team that created a process safety management program for the use of chlorine at the three City of San Diego Water Treatment Plants.- Was the only intern to complete the program and was instrumental in creating the Chlorine Process Management Program at the Alvarado, Miramar, and Otay Mesa Water Treatment Plants by the state imposed deadline.- Completed the terms of the internship when the process safety management program was completed.
