My work experience following being raised on a potato farm consisted of washing dishes at age 16 for Gringos where I worked as a dishwasher and cook for 2 years prior to serving a 2 year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Columbus Ohio. Upon my return I started my schooling at Ricks College majoring in Forestry. I soon began working full time managing Gringos Mexican Restaurant. In 2000 I started working for Madison Fire Department As a paid call fireman and within a few years I got my EMT certification. I quit working for the fire department January of 2006. I continued to manage the restaurant until the death of one of my dear friends and owner of the restaurant. In April 2008 I purchased the restaurant and continue to help with operations to this day. In 2011 I rehired as a paid call firefighter. I retrained in every field. EMT, FF1, FF2, Hazmat operations, Driver Operator, wild land Engine Boss. I hired on full time at the fire Department in October of 2016. I have completed training for my paramedic and was promoted to lieutenant in February of 2019. I was married in December of 1998, my wife and I have 7 children. We love this area we live in and hope to continue our time here for a long time.
