I test multiple programs for current and future radar software. I work with Linux Redhat, Windows 10, and Solaris operating systems. I transfer data from all of the previously mentioned systems throughout local networks and through online cloud software. I deploy to radar sites to operate the software in real-world missile defense. I have been a key operator in multiple software and scenario tests leading to implementation of software and identification and removal of errors. I have improved systems within my working environment by identifying problems, proposing solutions, and implementing solutions.

My specific tasks range from personnel accountability and training all the way to organizational planning and action. For the most part I ensure that all equipment is at the highest level of readiness and that individuals are trained in the most recent techniques and procedures to accomplish our mission. I am an expert at resolving differences between individuals and departments. I am often recognized and chosen to fulfill duties higher than my current grade due to my professionalism and experience. Since assuming duties as the Headquarters Platoon I have increased my units deployment readiness to 95%. I have been selected for promotion to Sergeant First Class but have decided to finish my Army career. I am a very experienced supervisor with a very expansive skill set.

Soto Cano Air Base Honduras

I serve as an Operation NCO and Joint Services platoon sergeant. I work closely with Army and Air Force personnel to provide a clear picture of the current situation of 5 South American countries to operational leaders in Honduras. As an Operations NCO I am closely involved with tactical, emergency, and relief duties associated with JTF-B. I am accountable for 36 joint service members on a daily basis and administrative duties associated with those service members, I am the building manager for a controlled access building, and I am responsible for $500,000 of equipment. I am also responsible for publishing and tracking daily orders to subordinate command groups. I work closely with numerous high ranking officers and non-commissioned officers of many organizations. I have honed my administrative skills in this position resulting in all personnel being fully qualified for their duties.

Fort Wainwright, Alaska

I am responsible for the care of 1 M777A2 medium towed howitzer, 2 family of medium tactical vehicle trucks, and all associated equipment worth more than $4,000,000.I am also responsible for the actions, training, and readiness to deploy of 2 non commissioned officers and 5 soldiers. I have overseen and mentored 3 Soldiers to attend the board and get promoted to Sergeant.As a howitzer section chief I have completed one rotation at the National Training Center and numerous other field exercises throughout Alaska. My attention to detail has led to 0 firing incidents under my leadership. I have been instrumental in my units ability to reduce our emplacement time from 6 minutes down to 3 while adhering to new Field Artillery regulations.I have built and instructed numerous classes involving diverse subject matter. Some of my classes have been the m18a1 claymore mine and all crew served weapons currently employed in my unit (m240b machine gun, m2 50 caliber machine gun, m320 grenade launcher, and the mk19 automatic grenade launcher) I have also been selected on numerous occasions to represent the battalion at higher levels. In 2014 I was chosen to attend the Best Warrior Competition, a competition that involved U.S. Army candidates from all of Alaska to conduct tests of professional skill, critical thinking, leadership, and command presence.Due to my diverse background I was chosen to conduct a critical mission to Honduras to support another Army components task of reducing and destroying the capabilities of drug and human trafficking in South America.I have presented numerous soldiers to military boards resulting in 3 soldiers being promoted and one soldier being named the USARAK NCO of the quarter.

Fort Polk, Louisiana

As a Small Group Advisor I had to become a subject matter expert on weapons, tactics, counter insurgency, counter IED operations, and many other tasks. I attended the Army Basic Instructors Course while working there certifying me to teach all of the subjects I had become fluent with. I learned about SERE, language, culture, and many other things. I also completed Army combatives level 1 and 2 while there. These skills tested my physical endurance while expanding my tactical knowledge. In the Pregnancy and Post Partum Physical Training Instructor/Leader course and Instructor/ Trainer course I learned how to safely and effectively conduct physical training for women who were pregnant or recently gave birth. This expanded my knowledge of the human body and greatly increased my understanding of muscular strength and endurance. As a Small Group Leader in Fort Polk I was constantly in front of very high level military personnel who would constantly challenge my authority. As a professional NCO I never had an altercation that led to reprimand. While I had to defend the choices and actions of the battalion and brigade often, I always presented myself professionally and as an expert. It fell within my scope of duties to ensure they were housed, conducted SRP, and generally prepared for training. I had to ensure that they drew the correct gear from the Central Issuing Facility since many of them had never encountered Army gear before. Additionally, I had to ensure they were proficient with their gear, teaching them how to wear items, mount slings, and put their helmets, vests, etc. together. I also had to ensure that they understood safe military driving procedures, how to operate military vehicles, and how to properly conduct maintenance on said vehicles.

Fort Lewis Washington, Baqubah Iraq, And Baghdad Iraq

My first duty station in the U.S. Army was at Fort Lewis Washington where I deployed twice with 2nd Battalion, 12th Field Artillery Regiment. Within weeks of my arrival I deployed to Baqubah Iraq to live on a Joint Combat Out Post with my Battery. While there we conducted base security, mounted and dismounted patrols, joint patrols with Iraqi Army and Iraqi Police, cleared explosives, cleared houses, and conducted meetings and humanitarian aid for the local population. I spent seven months in Iraq before redeploying to Fort Lewis. Once home we began training for the next deployment. We quickly trained to shoot our M198 howitzers, then transitioned to the M777 howitzers and trained and certified on them. Once the battalion was proficient with the howitzer we transitioned back to maneuver training. At this point I was chosen to be the Battalion Commanders driver. As the driver I became an expert on all variants of the Stryker vehicle, and was chosen repeatedly to instruct personnel in its use. I also attended a course designed around the command post of the future. A very active, engaging, and accurate battlefield tracker. A year after my return to Fort Lewis I deployed again with 2-12 FA, this time to Baghdad Iraq. While here I was a dismounted team leader in charge of protecting the battalion commander in close quarters meetings. I excelled at all aspects of my job. When I was promoted I was moved over to C-Battery to continue my work as a dismounted team leader. While in Iraq we discovered many IEDs, rockets, and weapons caches. Upon redeploying to Fort Lewis again late in 2010, I was reassigned to Fort Polk Louisiana.
