I do everything toward full design and prototyping of Microwave ,mm wave, and optical systems product designs. I also develop new patents for sale to industry and military.

I have more than 33 years as a microwave communications design engineer, and about 10 years as an electronics technician and an optical hardware technician. I expect to do about 10 more years in these fields.

These antennas were often original technology which improved the RF link and reduced equipment size. I also designed RFPA's, LNA's, Diplexers, shielding for GPS & cellular & WiFi antenna coexistence.

I was the Systems Integration Engineer for the ALMA project and worked to perfect the 100 and 240 GHz low noise receiver front end. I also had a hand in solving the laser synthesizer local oscillator system which was distributed on fiber optics and illuminated an photo-mixer crystal which sits in a small wave guide. Here the hetrodyned difference from a reference laser and a tunable laser produce a mm wave oscillator that makes all dishes combine to form one large antenna.

One of my jobs was to be the FCC frequency coordinator for the south west of the USA. In this position I innovated a patented RF shielding technique that enabled the EVLA to place the new digital samplers in the same room as the new cryogenic, wide band, front end Low noise receivers.
