As an experienced physician and former department head of one of the largest heart centers in the Netherlands, I thrive on challenges. My comprehensive knowledge of the healthcare industry and track record of successfully completing innovation projects enables me to efficiently and effectively optimize organizational processes. I am a loyal team player who remains level-headed and focused during transitions.In addition to my medical expertise, I have extensive experience in corporate governance, having served on several advisory boards and as a founding board member of two successful health tech companies. I have overseen hospital mergers, managed the fallout from the bankruptcy of an external clinic, and played a pivotal role in the development and certification of healthcare applications.I hold an MD from the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, a PhD from the University of Amsterdam, and I am a Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology.
