Ambulance and Paramedic services owned and operated by Robert & Dana Risher

At Risher this was a family owned company started in 1959 and i started working there in 1965 as we had a Ambulance Service and Mortuary , the ambulance service i developed and ran as we started with 1 1956 Cad Ambulance and expanded to 17 Ambulances and Paramedic units,Wheelchair Transportation and apps 150 employes responding to about 2000 responses a month. Risher was a leader in the Paramedic Service as we were the 6th company to have Paramedic Services in Los Angeles County as L.A. was the starting point of ALS service in the State and nation.In 1968 i was certified as an EMT in one of the early classes in the State of California and sat on the State EMS Sub- Comm.helping to develop the EMT criteria for EMT'S in California. In 1970 i Graduated from California College of Mortuary Science as a Embalmer and Funeral Director and served as President of the L.A. County Funeral Directors Assn . and on the California DCA Advisory Board, and presently on the California Funeral Directors Assn. Board.
