RAAF Base Pearce

As the Safety and Quality Manager of a Defence Part 145 Aircraft Maintenance Organisation, I am responsible to monitor the quality system to comply with Defence Aviation Safety Regulations. I manage all contractible locations in compliance with the requirements of Airflite’s Part 145 Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE), Aviation Safety Management.

In this role, I manage Airflite RAAF Base Pearce consistent with the requirements of the AS/NZS ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard, Defence DASR 145 Regulations. I also assist in managing the organisation’s compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems standard. Naturally, I ensure an internal audit programme are planned and independent.

RAAF Base Pearce

As the Internal Auditor, I produce audit checklist against specific standards, procedures and regulations, and performed audits along with their respected reports. I ensure to disseminate audit notifications and audit plans, hosting audit opening and closing meetings to set expectations. I perform and control the full audit cycle including risk management.

I am endorsed as a DASR 66 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licenced (MAML) Engineer for categories A and B1, fixed wing and Pilatus PC9. For this role, I conduct engine maintenance ground runs to test aircraft systems and components for serviceability, as well as adjustments on airframe and engine systems. I also maintain my ability to read and interpret.
