Over the past 15 years I have held a number of increasingly interesting and complex positions within the health and health and human services field of San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. I began my career as a case manager for high risk adolescents providing, crisis and daily interventions. My skill went beyond clinical work as I was integral in program and policy development, curriculum implementation and credentialing for county and state licensure requirements.As I pursued higher education, I also sought more intricate work experience. I began facilitating structured therapeutic groups and providing diagnostic assessments for dual diagnosis patients and those facing end of life issues. As I trained for my masters in Social Work at San Francisco State University I continued to seek opportunities that would broaden the depth and breadth of my clinical experience. I sought internships that would allow me to further my knowledge of legal procedures, insurance authorization and bio-psycho-social assessments. I have worked effectively with a variety of client populations, in outpatient and inpatient settings and with clients demonstrating wide ranging functional impairments. I am successful not only establishing a professional relationship with clients, but also with the treatment team as a whole.
