Researcher at Sediment Transport Research Group, working in of project of developing a new susceptibility model for predicting landslides, using a hydro-geomorphological model.In this project we studied the occurrence of debris flows in two regions of south Japan, where heavy rain episodes took place: Nagasaki Prefecture -July 1982- and Amami Islands –October 2010. In both areas we studied the susceptibility with the application of two models: the first one, based on hydrology and morphology, and the second based on slope stability. We study the propagation too, applying FLATModel to one real case in Amami Oshima Island.
