I seek to make the business I work for the most well aligned to its environment and the best placed for anticipated change. For example, at Frankona Re. we increased profit over 20 pc in 3 years by closing the engineering insurance side, narrowing our underwriting focus in treaty and expanding the fac. team. At Greig Fester (later Benfield and Aon) we embraced modelling, especially catastrophe, and became the leading independent broker. As Head of Willis UK Reinsurance we enhanced our position as one of ‘the big three.’ I joined the Board and Investment Committee of a respected private company in 2018. Subsequently I have been given expanded Committee responsibility, joining Audit, Remuneration and Reinsurance for 2022, bringing my broader management expertise to bear. My focus is commercial but I am mindful and respectful of the wider corporate environment, both regulatory and socially and enjoy the challenges of corporate navigation. I would be delighted to bring that experience and expertise to another organisation.
