In this Senior Architectural Draftsperson role, I was part of the team responsible for the production of all Sketch and Lease Plans that were to be used for Statutory Approval, Leasing Contacts and on-site construction. The projects ranged from Lease Renewals through to complete re-imagination of space where a change of use required full services upgrades, Fire Engineered Solutions and New Development Applications and Construction Certificates.

I was part of the Architectural Team in the Health and Sciences department, reporting directly to the Practice Lead and Project Architect and liaising with all Consultants, Project Managers and Builders. I was responsible for generating documents ranging from Sketch Diagrams, Test Fits, and all Architectural Drawings up to full Construction Documentation and As-Builts. This included door, window and finishes schedules. During the construction phase, all consultant and sub-contractor documentation and shop drawings was reviewed for discrepancies and to ensure it reflected the design. As part of a small in-house design team in the Commercial Property Development department, I reported directly to the Head of Design and was responsible for the delivery of documents up to Development Application stage. This included everything from Feasibility Studies and Sketch Plans, all the way through to the DA Documentation and the Section 96’s that can sometimes be required. This role involved extensive liaising with internal and external stakeholders and the ability to quickly turn ideas into drawings.

In this role, I reported directly to the Head of Design and the Project Management team. Here I was part of a small design team. Here I was solely responsible for the documentation of each project I was allocated. I produced all drawings from Sketch Plans through to Finishes Schedules, and everything up to As-Builts. This included liaising with the consultants, Shop Drawing Reviews and Site Checks.I was also responsible for the formulation and production of the company’s Architectural CAD Standards and Procedures Manual and Standard Details Manual which was adopted throughout the company.
