General Superintendent
I provided project job visits to insure that the project team was up to date with our commitment to complete the project schedule on time and within budget. When challenges arose I offered my experience and incite to help the team overcome their adversities. I provided job walks with the project superintendent to insure that the quality of the subcontractors work was as good or better than the standards the company expected. During those walks we reviewed and discussed safety standards and safety practices that were put in place by our subcontractors. " A Clean Jobsite Is A Safe Jobsite" was our mission as we wanted all workers to return to their families everyday safe and unharmed.We then reviewed the Project Schedule to insure that the construction was on schedule, and that all upcoming new trades to the project had submitted all of their necessary shop drawings and materials for approval, and submitted all of the necessary licenses and insurance they would require to complete their work. We also reviewed any required "Mock-Ups" for compliance with the contract documents and to insure that the quality was the best that we could offer the architects and owners. I was also responsible for the hiring and dismissal of all superintendents and assistant superintendents.Prior to taking the General Superintendent position I held the position of Superintendent with the company I held the position of Project Superintendent from 1983 to 2008. I am currently retired but might entertain a part time position keep my knowledge skills up to date.
