My career is a unique blend of roles in the Australian Defence Force (ADF) and Catholic education systems, showcasing my skills in strategic leadership, organisational reform, and educational development. This diverse experience underscores my commitment to excellence and innovation, leading to transformative outcomes.In my current role as Director of Force Structure – Plans, I oversee organisational design and force structure assurance, reporting to the Director General of Force Structures. I lead a team in implementing major change management initiatives, focusing on the ADF’s Organisational Capability Reviews. This role involves developing policies, reforming procedures, and ensuring cultural alignment across services and public sector workforces.Previously, as Manager of Plans in Career Management – Army, I streamlined career management processes while reporting to the Director General of Career Management – Army. I standardised and rationalised processes, procedures, and technology. Effective stakeholder engagement and negotiation were essential in advancing reforms contributing to the Army’s Future Ready Workforce Program.As the General Manager / Chief Instructor at the Royal Military College - Duntroon, I was entrusted with significant responsibilities. I led a team of up to 800. Under my leadership, we achieved the highest completion and lowest retraining rates in a decade, thanks to refined instructional methods, a business intelligence model, and tailored rehabilitation programs for Officer Cadets. My role also involved program management, governance, and strategic reporting.Earlier, as a Career Advisor (RAA), I managed a portfolio of about 300 Army Officers, providing career guidance and developing long-term management plans. In Catholic education, as Head of Physical Education at Marist College—Emerald, I implemented the new Queensland Physical Education syllabus, led a team in the junior school, and coordinated the Central Highlands District sports representational selection program.My career illustrates a blend of military and educational expertise, showcasing my ability to lead, innovate, and drive reform in diverse settings.
