Dogs Run Farm is a hobby farm in the Allegheny Mountains of West Virginia specializing in naturally raised fruits, vegetables and eggs.

Professor Coleman was an active faculty member for 16 years at Ohio State (1996-2012), 12 at the rank of Full Professor. He was previously a faculty member at the Univ. of South Carolina (1989-1996). He has published over 100 peer-reviewed papers in the area of organic chemistry in high impact journals and has an excellent citation rate for his work. He was awarded $5.9M in research funding over his career, with $5.4M of the support coming from the National Institutes of Health. He held continuous federal funding for 17 years (1994-2011). He has mentored 13 doctoral students, numerous M.S. students, and more than 25 postdoctoral associates. He has given over 100 invited talks at major research universities in the U.S., at several foreign institutions, and at many pharmaceutical companies. He has been an invited speaker at national and international scientific meetings. He has won numerous awards for his research, including a Dreyfus New Faculty Award, an American Cancer Society Junior Faculty Research Award, and a Sloan Fellowship. He was elected a Fellow of the American Association for the Advancement of Science in 2008.Professor Coleman has provided outstanding service to the Department of Chemistry, to the University, and to the community. He served as Vice Chair for Graduate Studies (2007-2011), where he implemented a redesigned curriculum for semester conversion. He has served on Faculty Council and was Chair of the University Research Committee, where he led the implementation of a new policy on Research Misconduct, and was Chair of the Committee on Academic Misconduct, where he helped revise the Code of Student Conduct and developed sanction guidelines. He served as a panel member at the National Institutes of Health and served on review panels for the National Science Foundation.Professor Coleman has served as an Expert Witness in the areas of patent validity and infringement for a wide variety of pharmaceutical companies in the U.S. and Canada.

Completed the first total synthesis of the calicheamicin aglycone in the Danishefsky group.
