I am a bilingual UK-qualified lawyer and former VP, Chief Legal Counsel EMEA at Stryker, with an agile, commercial mindset, and two decades of multinational legal experience.With a particular interest in cutting-edge, disruptive technology markets, I provide legal and compliance advice and strategic business support across $BN operations in highly regulated environments. Through inspiring teams, cross-cultural agility, and open and collaborative leadership, I add value by identifying and nurturing talent, encouraging ownership, knowing when and how to take difficult decisions, and enabling businesses to achieve their strategic and operational goals.Having been called to the Bar of London in 2000, I started my career at the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN), where I leveraged opportunities and monetised high-tech R&D.In 2006, I joined STMicroelectronics, leading corporate legal affairs in a software-driven environment with changing market needs, acquiring Nokia assets and collaborating with Google.I transitioned to Cardinal Health in 2008, which soon after became CareFusion as a spin-off of medical technology businesses. I achieved successive promotions, and relocated from Switzerland to the US to drive global strategic growth and penetrate new markets worth >$35M per year.In 2016, I moved to Stryker, where I scoped, negotiated and advised on legal, compliance and risk strategy, technology and high-value commercial arrangements as revenue grew from <$10BN to $14.9BN. I built multi-sited teams, influenced top-tier strategy, and chaired the Legal and Compliance EMEA Leadership team. I have been a member of MedTech Europe Legal Affairs and Digital Health Committees, and the Legal Affairs Committee of the Dutch American Chamber of Commerce. I am an international public speaker and published author.Outside of work, I established and run a French non-profit association that runs permaculture farming and educational projects in Burkina Faso.
