American Express - Architected a solution to support Apache Spark as an execution engine on an Internal Rules Engine. Solution supported both Batch and Near Real-time processingSensata - Architected and managed one of the first instances of an Open Source IoT Solution, which included technologies from Cloudera, Red Hat, and Eurotech. The project involved acquiring data from Edge Devices, housed in the clients factories, and streaming the data from those devices into a Hadoop cluster for Analytical processing and Machine Learning. Telarix - Worked with a client who is new to Big Data to understand their use case, provide guidance on what technologies they should use to solve their problem and helped to build out their initial use case. Also helped them size out their cluster-based off the projected usage and the required SLAs for providing results to queries. Vimeo - Lead the effort to help this client migrate their Apache Phoenix tables (backed by HBase) from AWS into a newly created on-premises Hadoop Cluster. This effort involved exporting Terabytes worth of data to an Amazon Snowball Appliance and then migrating that data into the target environment. Truckstop - Created an ETL pipeline for ingesting the data from several of the client's MSSQL DBs, performing extensive mapping and joining with reference tables, storing the data in Impala tables, and exporting the data out to a target database for more real-time processes. I also created a calculations process that would perform Ad hoc queries on the final data and export the results back to a target database for viewing in a web application.Chamberlain - Ingested data from 3 of the client’s data sources (MSSQL, RabbitMQ, Couchbase) into a Hadoop Cluster so the client could run analytics jobs on the data. Scheduled jobs to run to continually ingest data from the data sources using Oozie.AND MORE
