I hold a Masters of Geoscience degree from Texas A&M University, where I specialized in Geographic Information Science and Technology. I also have a Bachelor of Science degree in GIS and Geography with a minor in Geology from Tarleton State University. I am the founder of the Schaefer Seismic Club, a group that explores the seismic methodology and technology that I invented to help further my career in the oil and gas industry. I have used my Schaefer Seismic Method to assist local treasure hunters in searching for Spanish gold, and I have met Rick and Marty Lagina, the stars of Oak Island and Beyond Oak Island. I am passionate about hydrocarbon exploration using remote sensing techniques, and I have worked as a Remote Sensing Analyst at Red Gap Oil & Gas LLC, where I analyzed surface geology to determine potential exploration fields. I have multiple skills in GIS, remote sensing, geology, problem solving, and analytical thinking. I am motivated by innovation, discovery, and collaboration in the geoscience field.As a GIS/Programmer Analyst at Resource Data, I applied my GIS and remote sensing skills to create and update geospatial data, maps, and applications for various clients and projects. I also developed and maintained scripts, tools, and workflows to automate and improve data quality, analysis, and visualization. I contributed to the design, testing, and documentation of geospatial software and databases, and provided technical support and training to users and stakeholders.
