He wrote a simple frontend UI for this system in nodejs with React.Deployed a Kubernetes cluster across several virtual machines and physical hardware. Kubespray was used to configure these servers. The purpose of this cluster was to provide remote access to Android hardware for testing and development purposes using OpenSTF.Maintained a suite of Android applications that enabled secure communications and facilitated situational awareness between collaborators. Designed user interfaces for settings management, text messaging, overlays of proprietary data onto map views and the presentation of streaming radiometry data in list form.Modified a fork of LLVM/clang; adding a custom llvm pass our internal toolset. Customized the semantic analysis and codegen phases the clang frontend to support additional language features.Maintained a suite of iOS applications that enabled secure communications and facilitated situational awareness between collaborators. Designed user interfaces for settings management, text messaging, overlays of proprietary data onto MapKit views and the presentation of streaming radiometry data in list form. Implemented an automated data relay service for the collection of data at regular intervals from various sources; forwarding this data to an aggregation server. His work since October of 2010 has been on a NIST research and development project called Policy Machine; a system for specifying and enforcing security policy. Work on this project is done primarily in java 6.0 with some research done on the Java security system and the Linux kernel. Prior to his current assignment he spent several months assisting in the development of an application to perform forensic analysis on the Macintosh: The Mac Toolkit. His responsibilities included design, development and debugging of this application as part of a development team. Certain development tasks involved integrating legacy forensic tools into the application. This software was written in a combination of C and Objective-C, and integrated with many C libraries. Mr McHugh was also required to source requirements from the client, translate those requirements and implement them in a way that is both functional and usable.His first four and a half years with the firm have been spent maintaining and updating Trac2es Mobile, a Java client application used in military patient tracking. He is largely responsible for the present architecture of the application; which implements current best practices in Java and updates the look and feel of the product. This same product also contains a server component, a web service, which allows data from the client to be shared. This application included a mapping component which overlaid radio interference maps onto a geographic map of the United States. This application also included several dialogs and windows and was developed in the course of 6 to 12 months.Mr McHugh spent a year working on a large scale application installer using the InstallAnywhere tool.
