o Coordinates and manages the proper disposal of all Regulated Medical Waste (RMW), Pharmaceutical Waste, and Hazardous Waste in accordance with RCRA, EPA, VDEQ, OSHA, DEA, and all other federal, state and local regulations.o Management of the testing, treatment and disposal of mercury containing waste water from dental amalgam IAW all federal and state regulations.o Produces Scopes of Work (SOW) and Government Estimates (GE) for the time and cost estimates of all environmental projects throughout the hospital and our many outlying clinics in Hampton Roads.o Inspects and maintains the best management practices for all functions carried out under Environmental Services.

• Supply Technician(HAZMAT) o Worked as a CHRIMP Technician Ashore performing Hazardous Material inspections for Fleet Logistics Center Norfolk HazMat Center on all military installations in and around the Navy’s Mid-Atlantic Region. o Provided assistance to all commands storing Hazardous Materials in accordance with OPNAV, DOD, NAVSUP and OSHA instructions and standards. o Prepared reports citing all safety and storage infractions found on any given installation. Aided command responsible personnel with resources to correct any discrepancies found during assessment. o Helped in streamlining the procurement process for all shore commands involved in the supply process as needed.

• Material Examiner/Identifier o 1 of 5 responsible personnel for the screening, shipping and certification of all Hazardous Materials that require transport. o Certified in Hazardous Material Transport via the Department of Transportation’s 80-hour course. Qualified certifier of Hazardous Material shipments in accordance with the 44 CFR, IMDG, IATA and AFMAN 24 regulations. o Screens and packages all DLR (Depot Level Repairable) freight coming through NAVSUP’s ATAC (Advanced Traceability And Control) Hub.

• Lead Supervisor of Hazardous Material Division o Conducted ordering, inventory, issue and offload of all hazardous materials utilized throughout the ship. o Certified in Hazardous Material Control and Management (NEC: 9595). o Managed the inventory of 5,665 units of HazMat worth $277,465.00 during the 3rd quarter of 2015 alone. o Prepared Weekly, Monthly and Quarterly Reports routinely for Department Head’s review of divisional status.• Petty Officer in Charge of Underway Replenishment o Managed a team of personnel in the rigging and running of all platforms supporting the transfer of cargo and fuel at sea. o Replenishments comprised of over 200,000 gallons of Diesel Fuel Marine (DFM) and Jet Fuel (JP- 5)at a time. o Solely responsible for overseeing the rigging and inspection of each transfer station in accordance with the ship’s blueprints prior to commencing transfer. • Work Center Supervisor of Division’s maintenance program o Trained and directed 25 personnel in the completion of over 3,780 maintenance actions. o Reported more than 30 equipment discrepancies and wrote over 100 jobs in order to ensure the USS Arlington was kept in the highest level of shipboard readiness amongst all LPD17 class ships. o Work center received a 99% grading during the most recent 3M-1.4 certification of Arlington’s maintenance program.• Deck Supervisor o Management of 45 Seaman and 6 Third Class Petty Officers. o Preserved and maintained more space onboard than any other department. o Ensured the proper function and supply of parts for equipment ranging from 3 Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats, Rescue Boat Davit, Articulating Knuckle Boom Crane, Anchoring Systems, Vehicle Storage Ramps, Life Saving Accessories, etc.
