Stock from this herd was exported to all islands of the Caribbean and down to Guyana and Surinam. The farm also engaged in the selective cross breeding of Yorkshire and Landrace hogs specifically to satisfy the West Indian market. The farm also imported Holstein cows and did selective artificial insemination breeding from top US bulls to develop its dairy herd which supplied fresh milk to Island Dairies. The farm still maintains a herd of cattle which is about 21 % of the total cattle population in the Virgin Islands. Show less

Developed the first district technology plan in 1982 and pushed for the introduction of computer science, and basic programming courses in the junior and senior high schools in 1984 and lobbied the Virgin Islands Legislature to pass a resolution to that effect with positive results.
