As an Operational Risk Officer within the Tech and Cyber team at JPMorgan Chase, I play a pivotal role in enhancing operational resilience and minimizing operational losses for Tech and Cyber across all lines of business. My responsibilities encompass risk analysis, regulatory compliance, and advisory support, contributing to the firm's commitment to responsible growth.

This internship includes specialized skill development in several disciplines. I have worked on secure software development with foundational skills in Python. I have developed skills in memory forensics using Volatility and have worked on penetration testing using utilities like Nmap and Nessus. I have also worked on secure networking, using tools like Wire Shark to packet capture an analysis.

My primary duties were to install and maintain home and small business internet services. This required me to demonstrate excellent customer service skills, identify and connect copper and fiber optic cables, splice and terminate cables and connect devices via ethernet and wireless. I also have some skills working at higher levels of the network and significant experience with troubleshooting. There are many stressful and difficult working conditions I encounter in this role, so I have to remain flexible and adapt quickly. I designed and built an advanced trouble shooting lab at my local shop for use in training of newer technicians. I championed an inventory model that, during its brief use, saw significant cost reductions and time savings. I worked as a union job steward managing relationships and conflict between managers and technicians, and I represented technicians at skip level and other meetings with management.
