Operations Manager
Responsibility for the day to day operation of the facility. The facility runs 24/7 and produces a product via means of continues manufacturing process. I lead the plant by interfacing with the operations staff and making sure any barriers that they have were removed in a timely and efficient manner. I communicated the status of the plant via plant metrics in a monthly meeting and weekly meetings (weekly meetings are driven by supervisors at shift changes). It is my belief that if people do not know the things they are doing right they are likely to not continue those actions, as well as if something is going wrong and it is not clearly communicated they will not know to fix it. Communication is key to shaping an organization; It is my responsibility to balance the communication of areas that need improvement while at the same time promoting an environment of winning thought acknowledgment of successes.
Quality Manager / Process Engineer
Responsible for establishing and maintaining all quality assurance and control programs such as layered audits, incoming and outgoing product specifications and testing methods. Responsible for customer complaints resolution this is done through a typical RCA process, and is completed by myself and others in the plant under my direction. In this role I interface with customers to convey needed changes as a result of quality events. Provide technical support to negotiate the final amount for payment on open claims. As a member of the leadership team I am also responsible for conveying the needs of management and the company to the floor level, this is done in conjunction with the plant manager and operations manager through daily shift meeting and weekly updates. Process Engineer – Responsible for process improvement based on capability studies and customer needs. Utilize Cpk values to determine gaps in process capabilities, this information then dictates what projects are scheduled and funded for each particular manufacturing line. Interface with the customers to determine future process needs as their usage of our products develop and their needs changes, this also drives process changes and improvements.
