With a maximum of four years imposed by the Government of Mauritania, for the issue of expatriate work permits, at the completion of my engagement at the end of July 2019, I took the opportunity to spend time travelling more of Europe while living in Las Palmas, Gran Canaria, Spain. A position that I was to take up in North Africa in January 2020 was placed on hold and ultimately cancelled due to the Covid19 pandemic. As a result of the various lockdown and travel restrictions both domestic and internationally, I've spent my time sailing around the Canary Islands.In November 2020 I returned to South Africa.

Mauritania, West Africa

United Arab Emirates

Senior team member engaged to conducted a maintenance focused business review together with the formulation of an implementation strategy. Additionally, the identification of the necessary Management Operating System (MOS) elements requiring amended, to ensure a seamless transition to the new business operating model. This work was conducted across six remote oil & gas facilities.

East Africa

Lead the integration of all operational processes (i.e., mining, engineering, maintenance), and created the integrated mine plan to ensure compatibility of all processes through pre- and post-transition phase. This work required the standardization of all controls and associated reporting structures to support the new operational processes. Coached, mentored, and directed operational staff and the leadership team in both the office and the field environments to fully understand the new operating parameters to ensure sustainability.

Managed and administered the business review together with presentation to the Board.
