About Robert Shaw
I am a postdoctoral research fellow at the University of Edinburgh, working on developing novel radiotracers for Neuro imaging . I have worked on all stages of studies from writing systematic reviews on the field, through running both clinical and preclinical studies to analysis and publishing data.The focus of my PhD is in the preclinical sphere, however, I worked for a year during my masters and a year following conducting clinical research and working on a medical device trial. I am enthusiastic and motivated and enjoy working with others.

Due to the novel nature of this PhD I have had to work independently a great deal of the time and I have developed my lab skills greatly. In this role I worked on consenting and recruiting hospital inpatients to a medical device trial. I conducted various cognitive assessments with the patients and inputting this information in an anonymised and protected database. I also had a key role in the final write up of the paper upon the completion of this trial.
