Created greater belongingness amongst the fraternity by establishing the “Mental-Health Hour”, an open forum meeting weekly to allow brothers to come and voice their struggles and/or support others in theirs.In addition, I served as an on-call respondent to any mental-health-related emergencies within the fraternity.Helped brothers experiencing distress, anxiety, or loneliness by having one-on-one private conversations by simply being someone to talk to.

Served as an on-site manager through the club’s operating hours each summer, handling a variety of tasks from chemical management, membership services, event scheduling, and cleaning of the facility, alongside normal lifeguard duties.

Coached 70+ youth swimmers aged 7-17 for 6-8 weeks each Summer season. Fundamentally broke down and instructed each of the 4 main swimming strokes along with a myriad of drills and exercises to improve each swimmer. 17 years of experience as a swimmer and 15 years of experience with the program gave me a great foundation to teach good swimming technique, good sportsmanship, and great work ethic. Handled the challenge of teaching a variety of ages by modifying my instruction style and methods for each age group, which ranged from simple direction of exercise from the pool deck to hands-on instruction with demonstrations in the water. Held practice M-F morning from 8:30-10:30am and travelled to meets around the greater Indianapolis area on selected Tuesday and Thursday afternoons that usually lasted from 5:00-9:00pm in all manner of weather.

Part-time lifeguard who facilitated the pool’s day to day operations by surveillance and personalized patron interaction. A lifetime spent growing up at the pool allowed me to know members by name and create genuine relationships through my position.
