 Assist and support the M & O site director, department managers, supervisors, employees and subcontractors in understanding objectives and implementing requirements of the line control Program. Serve as a source of regulatory interpretation and provide mechanisms for proactive compliance with applicable regulation, codes: standers, ect.  Research and interpret federal, state, and local safety standers to support the safety and Health program at the site.  Routinely make decisions that directly affect the safety and health of site personnel.  Conduct periodic safety inspections of work area; provide safety and health training and monitor M&O and subcontractors work actives to ensure compliance with applicable policies, codes, standers, regulations and assist in regulations. Prepare safety surveillance reports, recommend corrective actions, and assist line organizations in documentation and resolution in findings.  Investigate occupational safety and health concerns, accidents, incidents and recommending action to correct the problem.  Plan, organize, schedule and conduct periodic safety inspection of facilities, work areas and equipment.  Monitor site conditions, practices and procedures for compliance with safety and health requirements. Select the corrective action and then follow up to ensure the proper action has been taken. Assist interface and support line management, New Orleans S&H and subcontractors in accident/injury investigation, discrepancies, site motivational programs, site safety MGT council,  Hazard Communications Program and resolutions through reporting, log, meetings, interpretation and Identification. Preform risk assessments and reviews subcontractors, submittals, safe work permits, statements of work packages, purchase request and SDS to identify safety / Health concerns and assist in resolutions.  

 Working on day-to-day safe work practices in the field. Writing and improving Site Specific Safety Plans. Assure he effective development and review of quality JSA’s, SWP’s, PTW Ensure safety and health programs are in accordance to safety management system guidelines.  Assist supervision in accident investigations to determine root causes to prevent recurrence. Conduct inspection of work activities and take corrective action on unsafe acts and conditions. Conducted safety and health toolbox talks.  Conduct work site audits inspection.  Ensure chemical inventory and MSDS are up to date. Conduct site–specific orientations for all site personnel and visitors. If so designated, execute the duties of site’s “ Local Lifting Focal Point” Facilitate implementation of the Medical Emergency Response (MER) plan by assuring the site’s Medical Emergency Response plans are updated, regularly drilled and response capabilities are maintained Assure effective implementation of Wells specific programs including, Alternative cutting tools, Out-Of-Position Worker (OOPS), Pause, HEROS, etc. Assure environmental compliance per the requirement of Environmental Compliance Manual (ECM) Facilitate the execution of the LEVEL III auditing process. Conduct daily and weekly motivational safety speeches at different Pre-Tour / Pre Job safety meetings. Assist in rig start-ups
