Working within a specialist team of technicians dedicated to providing clients with solutions to sitespecific ground investigations in a large area of the South East. Various site investigation methods are utilised such as boreholes, hand dug excavations, permeability tests and dynamic probing. My duties include monitoring and sampling of gas and groundwater installations and soak away tests, geological logging and sampling of soils and arisings recovered from ground investigations, followed by delivering factual reports and results to the client. It is also my responsibility to give technical advice in the field to drilling operatives and engineers, as well as to assist with land drilling and other types of soil excavation and testing, which requires planning, problem solving, liaising with the public, clients, colleagues and co-workers at all levels, whilst complying with health and safety regulations.

Duties included the resolution of a number of building maintenance issues by liaising with contractors to establish the best and most cost effective fix for the problem. Other duties included liaising across departments with management level staff to arrange certain facilities to meet their requirements, which could involve the setting up of meeting rooms to certain specifications, fire alarm testing, health and safety checks or any immediate issues that would arise.

Working in a small office that dealt with the monitoring and repairing of Automated Teller Machines (ATM’s) across the whole of Australia. Data analyst duties included receiving calls from members of the public reporting faults with the machines, and the subsequent logging and passing on to the relevant state coordinator to allocate and arrange repair. I was promoted to the role of ATM Technician coordinator for the state of Victoria, which involved allocation of the ATM faults to technicians and scheduling the times and logistics of their rapid repair, that was closely monitored for efficiency.
