As a Facility Support Engineer I am responsible for configuration management of all equipment, racks, cabling, power distribution, facility plans, and building support systems. As Network Controller II I provide real-time management, monitoring, and troubleshooting for the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) asynchronous transfer mode (ATM), IDNX/Promina, and transport network (OTN). Utilize network performance/management software to detect network congestion and bandwidth management. Perform fault isolation and diagnostic/assessment functions to determination corrective action(s) on real-time basis. Interface with functional and remote users operations centers in both routine and reactive monitoring situation. Maintained logs and records associated with reported problems or situations. Execute all reporting functions and data input associated with network management. Monitors security posture of network(s); and reported suspected violations. Maintain transport NOC circuit history files for troubleshooting, accountability and documentation purpose. As team lead I was responsible for supervising and assigning task and priorities for 2 IT Specialists. Managed helpdesk functions for approximately 110 users and 130 devices ensuring timely resolution with highest level of customer service and professionalism.
