Professor of the Warsaw University of Technology (WUT), member (senior member) of SPIE (The International Society for Optical Engineering) and OSA (The Optical Society), currently head of the Virtual Reality Technology Department and Dean at the Faculty of Mechatronics of the Warsaw University of Technology. The scope of his scientific activity includes three-dimensional (3D / 4D) imaging of static and dynamic objects. He deals with the development of imaging systems and algorithms for 3D / 4D data processing and their use. He was the R&D manager and expert of many domestic and foreign projects in the field of 3D / 4D imaging (research and implementation). He has practical experience in managing R&D projects and developing new measurement methods and data processing techniques, which is confirmed, among others, by coordination of diagnostic support projects in medicine (work for the Medical University of Warsaw completed with a 3D scanning laboratory), documentation of cultural heritage (implementation at the Museum of King Jan III's Palace in Wilanów and Heritage Imaging), virtual and enriched reality (implementation as part of the training of transplantologists) , construction of 3D / 4D scanners for industry (current activity) and entertainment (implementation of a virtual studio in TVP) and elaboration. solutions for the documentation of crime scenes (for the Police). Robert Sitnik is the author and co-author of 160 publications. Robert Sitnik has managed over 20 R&D projects and participated in over 40. Additionally, he has experience in cooperation with the business and government sectors.
