Teamwork, Communication and Leadership. These three traits have always defined me throughout my life. My time spent in the Air Force taught me how to work as a team. Every job I had in the Air Force was allowed to be done successfully with the great work performed by a team of people. I strive to be a leader that doesn’t just delegate but works with the team to ensure that success is always the number one goal. Knowing when to have the leading voice and when to work as a team to complete a task is something that I pride myself on having. Communication is the main component of a team. If one person fails to communicate then it affects the whole team. I always make sure to be as open as possible with every problem or technical difficulty. This allows for more people to see the problem and possibly find a quicker way to fix the issue. Strong communication skills have allowed me to work with people around the globe. I’ve had the opportunity to work as a team, lead a team and communicate with people thousands of miles away from me to make sure tasks got done seamlessly.Leadership can be something as simple as being there for a team member in a time they are stressed or struggling with an issue. Strong communication and knowing how to be an understanding leader can help team members get through a hard time and have better morale to work harder and better. I can’t wait to take the skills that I have had my entire life and honed in the Air Force and apply them as I continue my career.I look forward to joining your team and continuously grow as a leader, teammate and becoming an even stronger communicator.
