Responsible for the establishment and management of the Project Office and all associated internal business processes, based on ITIL and Prince 2 frameworks. Was responsible for all supplier management and 3rd Party relationships.In addition to internal responsibilities, I was responsible for the delivery of all client programmes and projects, many simultaneously. These included:- Programme managed the technical relocation and fit-out of this large international Online Ad Agency to new office facilities in Central St Giles. Was responsible for the successful management of all technical work streams for the new office, migration planning for the relocation of all existing IT services and the integration of 3 data-centres and all overseas offices to their new location. This programme was delivered on time and on budget, with all staff successfully relocating to their new office, with all IT fully operational on their first day.- Programme and project managed the delivery of 3 Tier 4 Carrier class data-centres on behalf of the client, including the specification and delivery of all Telco services, cooling, and power requirements. Defined all operational processes for the client for their new facilities, including specifying KPIs and SLAs.– Programme and project managed the delivery of a new high performance, high capacity hosting network and new dark fibre infrastructure. Managed the migration of all existing services to their new data-centre facilities.- Led the team to install enterprise IT Services in this start-up, including the delivery of the mail platform and internal IT Systems. Negotiated and delivered external IT Support and Help Desk functions on behalf of the client and defined all operational processes for these services, including KPIs and SLAs.- Programme managed the delivery of consultancy services to this client to deliver improved performance and security to this high volume interactive website and e-commerce platform.

Technology Programme Manager

Responsible for the technical programme to relocate the Guardian News and Media Group to their new flagship office in Kings Place, London. Was directly responsible for the delivery for technical work streams of this project, which was delivered on time and on budget. Responsibilities included: Overseeing management of £8m budget making up part of overall £33m project budget. Ensuring all technology requirements were delivered at completion, acting as a Business Design Authority, on behalf of the Board and the Company. Supplier Management of all external consultants contracted to provide advice on all aspects of the project. Line managed all 3rd party business managers for all sub-projects associated with the main programme. These sub-projects included:o Implementation of a new dark fibre, high speed MAN and a new WAN infrastructureo Date centre relocation & new office from base buildo Virtualisation to VMWare platform migrate existing IT Services and consolidate server platform.o New LAN and data centre network infrastructure & Tier 4 data centre constructiono IPT installation and design and AV system design  Operationally managed elements of existing infrastructure in use during this programme. Performed role of environmental champion to ensure sustainability criteria was met during the project.

It Infrastructure Manager

Responsible for the Operational Management of physical technical infrastructure at GNM. Responsibilities included: Responsibility for WAN & MAN communications. Ensuring site-to-site connectivity and on-going data connectivity management. Relocation of GNM’s Manchester operations to new offices. Offering technical support to the infrastructure aspect of company DR strategy. Responsible for all fault management and reporting of data centre services. Maintaining high availability KPIs and SLAs

Data Centre Manager

Operationally managed all GNMs data-centre. Whilst fulfilling this role, I was responsible for the delivery of a technology refresh across all of GNMs data-centre estate. This was directly responsible for a 95% improvement in outages and a significant increase in overall availability. Oversaw a consolidation programme to reduce the number of data-centres in the estate from 11 to 7. Responsibilities included: Programme Management of technical refresh project for all 11 facilities. Defined and implemented management and operational procedures and policies Programme Managed the refresh of all power and cooling at each location. Responsible for the construction of 2 new data-centres for the consolidation programme. Successfully consolidated 11 data-centre to 7.

Herbal Hill Data Centre Project Manager

Project managed the delivery of the new Herbal Hill data-centre Built to a tier 4 standard, adopting latest data centre technology. Implementation of new IPT system Responsible for the migration of all existing users to new platform, with no disruption in Service.

Commercial Systems Support Engineer

Initially employed as a junior support technician, for all internal IT Systems within GNM. Rapidly progressed to 3rd Line Support, responsible for in-depth systems management of all Enterprise systems within the Guardian News and Media Group. Responsibilities included defining new business process, fault management, supplier management and direct support for end users.
