I believe in reinvention -- that right around the corner from any setback is another opportunity for those willing to dig deep, learn fast, work passionately and persist every day. I once sold music. Then, just as I expanded into design and marketing, the Great Recession hit and left me unprepared for a depopulated and very competitive work market. I liked the design part of my music job and went back to school (California State University Northridge) and dove deep into the technical and artistic challenges.As my design and professional skills improved, many of my other dormant abilities were also put to good use for school and clients. I began business and marketing writing. A lot of writing. It is now a much sought-after tool in my design work and I love the expanded opportunities it is providing my design jobs.Not content with being a mere "pixel pusher", I am further filling up the tool box with comprehensive brand strategy and UX/UI. While I'm developing these complex and vital skill sets, we're working with clients in multiple industries, crucibles of high-stress accomplishment that will serve us well into our careers.Whatever comes next, good or bad, there will always be a corner. There will always be another opportunity. And I'll be ready to tell that story, whatever it is.
