Senior Software Development Engineer, Amazon Inc - Denver, CO/Remote 2022-PresentDeveloped new back-end architecture on the Amazon Detail Page, one of the highest traffic pages on the internet. Was the technical lead on a team of 8 engineers for the web rendering technology portion of the new stack, known as WebFlow. • Began project by working with several tech leads across multiple teams to deliver a proof-of-concept prototype that would dynamically load jar files and render content from them with dynamic inputs from backend data plane to reduce ambiguity of the effort.• Took product to market by working with a team of 30 employees, including multiple SDEs, PMTs, SDETs, and PEs to design, roadmap, and estimate work required for the project. Trained eight new hire engineers to scale the team and deliver the effort on time.• Delivered the effort to market in early 2023, scaling the service to Amazon world wide scale by deploying to three major regions (NA, EU, FE) to support all of amazon.* marketplaces and serving nearly 10 million concurrent request per minute. Also enabled deprecation of 20-year-old servers.• Scaled development and deployment on the platform by delivering full CI/CD to our pipelines with full integration tests suites, mocking frameworks, performance, and load tests. Resolved ambiguity by introducing the novel concept of test experiences, static experiences that tested specific functionalities within the service. This effort reduced time to production from a 1 month cycle to daily deployments.• Led operational efforts by creating dashboards, alarms, runbooks to support the world wide system with one team. Efforts led to 90% reduced ticket count, smarter alarms, more resilient service, and more developer time to deliver features.• Acted as team SDM while SDM was on parental leave for 3 months.
