SUMMARY:Responsible for the management and coordination of plant operations including machining,assembly, shipping / receiving, maintenance consistent to improve the facility’sperformance in shipping, inventory, and throughput.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESinclude the following:Plan, organize and direct the manufacturing and maintenance operations which ensure the mosteffective return on assets. Improve manpower utilization within existing departments and processes. Schedule stability that allows for maximum return on efficiencies.

Managed production in saw shop, machine shop, fabrication shop, and assembly shop, as well as working with engineering and purchasing departments to ensure on-time delivery of parts orders and finished equipment. Responsibilities included the distribution of jobs on the shop floor, determining the production schedule, and work flow, responsible for the interviewing/ hiring of associates, conducted associate reviews, as well as allocation of labor within the various departments, oversaw the expansion in the numbers of shop personnel and production capacities. During first year as foreman, the company’s sales increased substantially requiring changes throughout the company. Changes in the ways the workload was allocated in the shop resulted in a 78% increase of production on the shop floor, the second year saw a 46% increase. Oversaw increased production capacity of the machine shop.Instituted changes in the assembly department and expanded it from one crew to three, created training programs for the assembly department and implemented standards to improve quality in finished goods.Implemented the company’s new Quality Control Program in the plant and thereby minimizing the amount of rework within the plant and therefore the number of warranty claims on finished goods.Monitored and successfully reduced the amount of indirect labor throughout the facility.
