This effort resulted in the successful achievement of an A2 grade in my MSc dissertation.I played a vital role in the research and analysis of an optimal natural pesticide, integral to a push-pull strategy aimed at mitigating Hylobius abietis damage in UK forestry. My responsibilities included:• Managed my time effectively to obtain significant results and wrote up my work achieving an A2 for my master’s project. • Used High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC) to analyse product breakdown, and correlate findings with antifeedant responses observed during field studies.• Developed an understanding of biotechnology company operations. • Adhered to Good Laboratory Practice, ensuring the reliability and accuracy of collected data. • Presented research outcomes to stakeholders through team meetings and poster presentations.• Demonstrated problem-solving capabilities by identifying potential commercial applications, future research, and routes to commercialisation for the product.Due to my previous performance, asked to re-join the company in 2023, where I currently collaborate closely with the company Director to continue trials, and compile and analyse data, to enhance intellectual property valuation in preparation for potential sales.
