Develop and execute interim SMART goals as part of an annual school plan, leading to the school's successful transition out of Comprehensive II status from 2022-23 to 2023-24. This achievement was driven by enhancements in state English Language Arts and Math proficiency, alongside notable improvements in attendance metrics.Examine interim assessments, formative, summative, and NJSLS data to guide the creation of small group instruction centers aimed at assisting students in meeting grade-level standards effectively. This resulted in a 19.16% increase of proficiency from the Fall to Winter assessments across grades 5-8. Develop a strong culture of literacy school-wide by increasing access to culturally relevant texts for students, and training teachers on best guided literacy practices. This initiative yielded a 8.5% surge in NJSLA English Language Arts proficiency schoolwide compared to the prior year.Create and promote an NJSLA essay contest to enhance student performance and foster a positive focus on the importance of written expression. Institute and oversee the use of innovative math resources, including Khan Academy and Building Thinking Classrooms, to increase the NJSLA Math proficiency by 3.5% schoolwide from the previous year.Serve as testing coordinator for a range of assessments including NJSLA, PSAT, MAP, NAEP, and the 8th Grade Entrance Exam. Implement robust tracking methods and establish effective communication channels with parents to guarantee a minimum 95% participation rate among students for these assessments.Establish and optimize systems and procedures to ensure seamless school operations, encompassing scheduling and facilities management. Additionally, devise a transition post schedule for both teachers and security personnel to mitigate incidents during transitional periods.
