Provided strategic direction to 450 quality specialists in six business units in 120 countries. Implemented new processes for assessing and improving quality systems and operations, including analysis and identification of opportunities to improve employee motivation based on employee survey results.

Served as the Manager of Quality and later as Manager, Business Process Improvement for this international engineering-construction contractor in the hydrocarbon processing industry with 4,000 employees and $1.9 billion in annual revenues --a division of Dresser Industries before its integration into the Halliburton Company. Provided strategic guidance to Executive Management in successfully implementing a unique constraint-based business improvement process incorporating the key elements in the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award criteria that produced industry-leading operational and financial results. Served on the Construction Industry Institute’s TQM Task Force in 1990–1992, which resulted in Kellogg being recognized as “best in class” in TQM effectiveness. In 1994, Kellogg became the first and only major engineering-construction contractor to apply for the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award, and won the Dresser Industries Award for Total Quality in 1996 and 1997, with a world class score of 705 points.
