I am an expert in the maintenance, repair and performance of all types of rotating equipment. Over the last 30 years I have served as a machinist, millwright, mechanic, supervisor, planner and consultant to oil refineries, hydro-electric power, manufacturing, food processing, and more.I have developed business cases to present the cost-benefit of investing in techniques to optimize machinery performance and lower overall operating costs. I have been spending my personal time developing technology tools that will increase the efficiency of equipment repairs and help bridge industry's shortage of skilled workers.

The solution coordinated multiple shifts of employees for an around the clock repair with no equipment downtime. ● Created, designed, and implemented an Emergency and Priority One Crew after presenting the cost-saving benefits of not disrupting scheduled work by diverting existing crews to handle emergencies/priority repairs. ● Discovered that the Bill of Materials for all 2,800 pieces of equipment in the refinery were incorrect at some level. Hired a consultant to verify the problem that included thousands of dollars in mislabeled, obsolete, and/or incorrect parts, as well as parts that were stored in the wrong location. ● Provided a cost-saving solution for the hydrocracker valves that were failing and causing the unit to go offline every three to four months. After studying the problem, I provided management with a business case and the rationale for replacing the existing valves with a different type of valve.
