Mr. Staab has a combined 38 years of oil and gas industry experience, included health, safety, and environmental (HSE) and exploration and production management.Has 25 years of HSE management responsibilities including oversight of investigations and environmental remedial actions, development and execution of facility environmental compliance programs, evaluation of claims and expert witness support, and due diligence and negotiations for corporate restructurings, acquisitions, divestments and environmental liability transfers. Served in various senior positions in the management of a diversified portfolio of environmental liabilities associated with operating and orphan refining, transportation, retail marketing, oil and gas exploration/production and mining facilities for a major multi-national petroleum company. Has amassed a broad spectrum of environmental remediation and compliance expertise in program management, regulatory policy analysis and implementation and corporate policies and procedures. Has provided claim, litigation and alternative dispute resolution support and environmental defense in expert witness testimony and developed technical and legal strategies in mediations, depositions, arbitration hearings, and formal litigation and bankruptcy proceedings. Prior to his HSE experience, Mr. Staab has over 13 years of oil and gas exploration/production experience as a geophysicist and geologist for major multi-national oil companies and domestic Fortune 500 companies. Has testified as expert geological witness and compiled written testimony for unitization hearings and various state commissions. Responsible for a 49% success ratio with respect to the drilling of 147 productive oil and gas wells between 1980 and 1989.
