Was born in Leeds, England, and after working as an Anglican clergyman for many years, is now retired and living with his wife in North Yorkshire. The countryside of James Herriot and television's The Yorkshire Vet. Amongst other things, he is a member of the local creative writing group, TWN (Thirsk Write Now), and regularly produces material for them. He has had more than fifty stories published, of various lengths and in various places. These include Indigo Dreams' Sarasvati magazine, Literally Stories, several TWN Golden Clippings anthologies, publications by MX Publishing, and Belanger Books. Many of these stories, including several Sherlock Holmes pastiches, are set in the Edwardian period, or more broadly between the years 1880 and 1920. His interest in this period of history began at school in the 1960s when he met and heard the stories of people who had lived during those years. He also found echoes of their lives in literature, architecture and music, and even the coins in his pocket. The Edwardian period was a time of exploration, invention and high adventure. Rich material for thriller writers.
