Key responsibilities include:• Leading Adfam's day-to-day communications - website, social media, newsletter, campaigns etc. • Conducting qualitative research on a range of key topics including "dual diagnosis" and problem gambling, and presenting findings to external audiences. • Writing reports on a range of different topics and content for resources including Adfam's information guide on Chemsex, produced in collaboration with leading LGBT health and well-being charity London Friend. • Leading on policy engagement, and the development of Adfam's policy manifesto for change. • Key role on the delivery and secretariat of the Alcohol and Families Alliance (AFA), an alliance of organisations that campaigns for change for families affected by alcohol in policy and practice. Work closely with colleagues at the Institute of Alcohol Studies (IAS), and Alcohol Change UK to deliver this.• Project management roles on a range of projects including the 'BEAD Project', that provided peer support for people that have been bereaved through drug or alcohol use, in collaboration with Cruse Bereavement Care. • Organising a range of events, including Adfam's regional forums, dicussion roundtables, annual conference and carol concert.• Representing Adfam externally at meetings, conferences and Parliamentary events. Undertook both paid and voluntary work at 4Children, a charity which supported and advocated for children and families. Responsibilities included Supporting the delivery of major research inquiry, 'Britain’s Families: Thriving or Surviving?', supporting the delivery of the APPG on Children’s Centres, compiling a daily internal media briefing, corresponding and liaising with Parliamentary contacts, research tasks and general administrative support such as minute taking and proof reading.
