Network Management Technician

Responsible for troubleshooting voice and data issues on customer premise equipment including Juniper (EX2200, EX9208, SRX100), Adtran (NV3200, NV3305, NV4305, 818, 600 Series, 900 Series and 900e Series) and Cisco 2900 Series. Configured customer premise routers including ACLs and Fortinet Firewall rules.• Work directly with First Communications engineers, LEC’s, PBX/IT vendors, equipment manufactures and end users to resolve high level issues. Provide training for all First Communications products for new NMC Technicians.• Provide afterhours support for NMC techs. Assist the fraud department by investigating customer PBX fraud cases to reduce the amount of lost revenue.
Nnoc Technician Ii
-Responsible for monitoring, isolating, troubleshooting and driving resolution on the voice and data platforms (CDMA, GSM, EVDO, Microwave and LTE Networks) in a 24/7 National Network Operations Center (NNOC). -Voice network monitoring and repair included working with Ericsson (Nortel) MTX and Lucent 5E voice switches and cell site equipment. Perform remote T1 and Ethernet testing. Perform troubleshooting for the network deployment of LTE/4G using Ericsson, NSN and ALU equipment (cell site routers, enodeb’s and various gui’s).-Data network monitoring and repair included working with US Cellular’s WAN network (Cisco PE, P, DSS, MME, Aggregate and CER Routers), LAN network (retail store routers and firewalls), Network Security (firewalls and vendor bind issues) and Infrastructure (MMS/SMS issues).-Provide Tier II support (as a lead tech on shift) for Tier I techs and approve dispatches to the field. Directly work with all support departments and engineers to resolve network failures quickly to keep MTTR down and provide the least downtime to customers.-Provide technical support to the cell technicians, field engineers and switch engineers on microwave backhaul systems, cellular switches, ATM switches, routers, CSU/DSU and other ancillary equipment.
Noc Technician (Contractor For U.S. Cellular)
-Responsible for monitoring and isolating trouble on the voice platform for US Cellular’s CDMA and TDMA Networks by using Nortel MTX Voice Switches and Nortel BSM’s. Monitoring was performed by using Netcool.
Noc Technician Tier Ii (Formerly Broadwing/Focal)
-Responsible for isolating and resolving local/long distance issues, dedicated/switched toll free, isolate customer/network translation issues, transport (testing circuits) and IVAD (voice/data circuit using Adtran csu/dsu and General Bandwidth Voice Switches) issues by utilizing remote testing software/hardware in a Nortel DMS 250/500 switch and Nortel SDM environment. -Worked directly with LEC field/remote technicians, customer’s technicians/vendors and Level 3 technicians (remote, field and switch). Dispatched Level 3 field technicians. Handled legacy Broadwing customer escalations nightly.-Responsible for training technicians ongoing and during the transitional phases of integration between Broadwing’s network into Level 3’s network/repair center in Coudersport PA (integration included former Broadwing, Telcove, ICG, Looking Glass Networks, Wiltel and legacy Level 3 networks).
Dispatch Clerk/Supervisor (Thc)
-Supervisor (THC) for the DRC residential and business dispatch clerks for Florida, North Carolina and South Carolina (June 2006-Oct. 2006). Handled all internal and external escalations.-Responsible for forecasting troubles/orders and approving overtime for field technicians on a daily basis. Dispatched field technicians in accordance with company and federal regulations by working with field supervisors and local managers.
