  More than 50 years' of broad industrial experience. He began his career as an engineer with Amoco and Sunbeam Corporation before joining Celanese Corporation. During a 20 year career at New York-based Celanese, he assumed management positions in R&D, product management, sales, marketing, strategic planning and acquisitions. From 1983-1985, he was Vice President, General Manager of IMPCO, a subsidiary of A.J. Industries, a mini -conglomerate of five companies with sales totaling over $250 million. From 1985-1993 he was Vice President and COO. Mr. Stemmler returned to IMPCO in 1993, when independent of A.J. Industries, as President and CEO. As CEO, he defined and implemented the company's strategic and tactical plans for growth and profitability in the emerging alternative fuels industry. He was instrumental in transitioning the company into the worldwide product and technology leader. Eight acquisitions in 7 years,alliances and joint development programs with major OEM Companies positioned IMPCO strategically for continued leadership and growth in the industry. Revenue growth grew to $400 million from $27million during his 13 year tenure. Significant career accomplishments include: Obtaining more than $300 million in four Public Offerings to support the Impco growth strategy. Successfully turned around five companies with stagnant revenues and increasing losses. Recognition of Impco by Forbes magazine in 1998 as being among the 200 Best managed managed companies in the U.S. Recognition of Impco in 1998 by the LA Business Journal as the fourth most profitable company in LA County based on a 5 year average return on equity(30.5%). Mr. Stemmler holds an MBA from Seton Hall University and a BS in Engineering from Washington University in St. Louis. He also attended the University of Chicago Graduate School of Business and lectured at the Harvard Business School. He has 7 patents
