Account Executive
Current• Lead and trained the top logistics team in the company for consecutive years while breaking company records in a quarter for loads moved 2, 143 loads moved brokerage profit 2.3 million, and weekly average (182k) for quarter/year of 2023.• Coordinate supply chain management activities in extremely fast paced business operations through strategic communication to ensure an average of 50+ loads per day is booked and picked up in a timely manner.• Acts as a negotiator and/or facilitator between carriers, suppliers, and receivers for Kroger, Penske, Ralph's, Fry's and King Soopers for over 1,000 loads per month using effective communication to meet customer requirements.• Manage procurement process for logistics operations to include supplier selections, contract negotiations, inventory management, and proper billing resulting in 6% cost reduction.• Daily Tasks Include1. De-escalating issues through verbal and/or written communication and providing timely resolution for problem loads, as well as the actions that have been or need to be taken 2. Providing daily technical support as well as updates to customers / receivers on the status of the loads.3. Assist in the compliance protocols to ensure all shipments adhere to safety standards, industry regulations and contact requirements.• Manages business cases negotiating contracts including detention, layover, and other accessorial costs with carrier while working to limit losses on rejected loads via RMAs for suppliers including maintenance of purchase orders and accurate accounting for completed load transactions.• Provides critical input to the team through data analytics research for negotiating rates, projecting costs, pricing, and Request for Quotes (RFQ) and Request for Proposal (RFP sheets) and bid sheets, and ultimately contract development with customers resulting in an increase in brokerage profit from 1.5 million up to 7.8 million.
