I prepare and conduct professional development training to K-12 teachers in the areas of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics.

Take a hands-on approach to scientific exploration with host Rob Stephenson and a cast of inquisitive kids. The Curious Crew members are 8- to 14-year-old explorers from across mid-Michigan.

Supervised 351 DK-4 students in 16 classrooms. The staff consisted of 35 professionals that I supported.

Taught third grade in the Okemos Public Schools for 18 years. While there I was named the 2006 Presidential Awardee for Excellence in Science Teaching, the 2009-2010 Michigan Teacher of the Year, and the 2010 National Teacher of the Year Finalist. I also served as an instructional technology representative and the teacher's association vice president.
