About Robert (Steve) D.

I started out as a Combat Diver in the Royal Canadian Engineers and, after a few years, went on to work as a commercial diver in Atlantic Canada and did a tour in the North Sea as a deep sea Bell Diver on the Sedco rigs. I reenlisted in the Royal Canadian Navy as a Clearance Diver and spent 18 years as a diver and dive supervisor. I was a diver/dive supervisor in developing the DCIEM air diving tables while working at the experimental diving unit. I won an award for my submission of combining the three diving tables into one. While at the Experimental Diving Unit, I was a system operator/technician during a 31-day 1200fsw saturation dive.I retired from the military and worked as a UXO technician, team leader, safety office, field supervisor and project leader on many jobs in the US and Canada. I also worked as a UXO Expert and safety professional on dredging projects in India, Egypt and Taiwan. I have a safety professional certificate from the University of New Brunswick and carried out many hazard identification and risk assessment on many high-risk projects.I assist clients in making more informed decisions regarding project health and safety based on accurate and trusted information.
