Senior site manager, having overall responsibility for prestige contracts on National Trust and English Heritage properties throughout the UK, including works to Kingston Lacey House in Wimborne, Dorset, and the refurbishment and restoration project to a Georgian country house in Yeovil, Somerset; contract value £250,000.

Christchurch Dorset

Contracted specifically to assist the site agent in the running of an inherited poorly performing house building project consisting of 64 homes, including the infrastructure of roads, drainage and services. Took over the responsibility of running the sub-contractors, including surveyors and specialist labour. Succeeeded in implementing a materials management system and programming works to better utilise the workforce and materials in an efficient manner, thereby bringing the site back into the parameters of its intended operational path.

Organised and managed multiple domestic projects throughout London, concentrating mainly in the areas of Chelsea, Kensington and Chiswick. Responsible for the day to day running of the sites which included labour placement, quality control, health and safety, and liaising with clients while reaching set deadlines.

Norway

I was approached by the Norwegian house building company to contribute to a 12 month project constructing executive timber framed houses, where I observed and participated in all aspects of the building method of Scandinavian style homes.

United States

Worked on the construction of an American deck house building project, which was a short term contract to gain experience in the American system of timber framing. My main duties were to set out the site, the programming of works, and the management of quality control.

Site agent for the main carpentry contractor, Ridge Developments, at the University of Westminster site in Harrow.This was a Design and Build contract for 485 bedrooms for students and accommodation for the administration staff, where my key responsibilities were in the management of 55 plus site personnel, keeping to targets and set deadlines, monitoring the control of material, and attending regular site meetings with the Tarmac senior management team.

Japan

Contracted to oversee the erection and fitting out of English style Houses in Japan.My main role was in an advisory capacity, instructing the local work force in the correct assembly sequence and fitting out techniques. I worked closely with management on the programming and integration of various phases of construction, achieving the targets set in production and quality control.
