Recent Masters of Environmental Engineering graduate at the University of Melbourne. Previous experience as a Water Resources Scientist intern at Jacobs and currently working as a Graduate Engineer at Engeny based in Melbourne. Currently I am working as a flood engineer and work extensively with spatial data softwares (QGIS, MapInfo, ArcGIS) and hydrological and hydraulic model softwares such as RORB and TUFLOW to build large urban flood models. Both these roles have challenged me to develop my skills in communication, team work, organisation, accountability and problem solving. In particular these roles have engaged by passion for engineering project management and client relations. I have recently co-authored a journal paper investigating more accurate global extreme rainfall characterisation using climate regions. This project has drastically improved my written communication and presentation skills. As such I am a big advocate for trying understanding the complexities of the environmental system and bringing a creative and positive mindset to finding solutions to difficult problems.
